How I use cookies.

My website uses cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and tracking technology to help improve functionality and performance. These allow my website to recognise you when you return in future and help me to understand which sections of my website you find most useful.

You can set preferences for how my website uses cookies here. You can also use your browser settings to control the use of cookies across any websites you visit.

Essential cookies

Some cookies used by my website are essential to allow my website to work. For example, my website uses a cookie to record your cookie preferences so that you don’t see a consent banner every time you return to my website. These cookies cannot be disabled.

Optional cookies

My website also uses other optional cookies for analytics, to improve functionality and for targeted advertising to promote my productions and any other content, products and services I may offer as part of my business. For example, these cookies allow me to see which pages of my website are most helpful or to track how many tickets I have sold from visits to my website as opposed to other sources.

3rd party cookies

My website may use some 3rd party cookies from trusted partners to help me track analytics, improve functionality and for targeted advertising to promote my productions and any other content, products and services I may offer as part of my business.

Some parts of my website may include advertisements from external companies, particularly my blog. Advertisers may serve their own 3rd party cookies through my website in order to track the performance of their adverts.

Affiliate links

My website includes some affiliate links to products and services I recommend. If you click one of these links, a cookie may be used to record that you came from my website. This allows me to earn a small commission from any purchases you make (at no cost to you).

You can read my affiliate link policy here.

What data I collect.

This allows me to keep the records I need to carry out my day-to-day business activities and to fulfil any legal or contractual obligations.

Subscribing to a newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to a newsletter or mailing list I will collect the data requested in the sign-up form. If you sign-up through my website it will also log your IP address to prevent abuse of the system.

If you buy tickets for an event through my website or via trusted venue and ticketing partners, I may collect certain personal information such as your name, email and home address in order to send tickets and manage your booking.

Bookings made via a trusted venue or ticketing partner will also be subject to their own terms and conditions.

Commenting on my website

If you choose to leave a comment on my website I will collect the data requested in the comments form. My website will also record your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. If you have a Gravatar account, your profile picture will be published publicly alongside your comment.

How I use data for marketing.

I rely on marketing to sell tickets for my theatre productions and to promote other content, products and services I may offer as part of my business.

I will only use your personal information for marketing where you have positively opted in or you have provided permission to other organisations to allow me to market to you, for example, via Facebook.

If you would like to opt-out of this marketing you can use the options included within my communications, for example the ‘unsubscribe’ links in emails, or email me at hello@jackdryden.uk.
